The room price was very reasonable and the hotel was very convenient. One staff member was excellent and assisted me in packaging a fragile item. I wish I got her name but she was excellent. She was young but older than the rest of the staff and her help in giving me cardboard, tape and scissors to use was extremely appreciated. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was helpful when I was trying to find cardboard and in taking away the scraps. The room was great for me alone. I appreciated the humidifier/fan which helped to dry my clothes. Thank you for the luggage cart which was great help in transporting my luggage to the front area! The nearby shops, restaurants and transportation options was great! I definitely would stay at the Miyako again!

Great location for arrival/ departure by train as it’s in the station Also excellent for exploring Kyoto and surrounding area as trains, buses and subway easily accessible Lots of dining and shopping options including convenience stores in the building Meeting point for tours is just across the road Room was comfortable with excellent soundproofing Very clean with thorough housekeeping (including fresh pyjamas, replenishment of everything) daily Polite and efficient staff Included breakfast was good with lots of options (eg cereals, scrambled eggs, hamburgers, Japanese options, croissants and toast)

Location Location and Location. One of the best hotel we stayed in our two weeks Kansai trip (out of 5), easy access to Kyoto station (literally right on top of it). We can see the Shinkansen from our window but it's not noisy at all. Elevator takes you directly to hotel floor, no transfer needed. multiple vending machines inside the hotel. Room is huge and comfortable. Staff members are awesome they speak the most fluent English among all the hotels we stayed in Kansai. Overall nearly perfect with one minor fault.

We enjoyed having breakfast in the hotel. Simple, balanced and filling. We like the scrambled eggs, grilled fish and miso soup the most . The staff from the restaurant were also friendly and helped topped up our thermal flasks with hot water. Check in and check out process was straight forward and efficient. I also like the environmental friendly approach of only replacing the towels when we request for it. It is a no frills hotel. Room size and wifi speed is great. The electric kettle smelled bad though.

Great location to take Shinkansen, Kintetsu train to Nara, subway and busses. There are so many stores and restaurants within the station. It rained one day when we were there and we didn't have to leave the station to go shopping and eat. That was great!! The breakfast has many choices and a combination of Asian and Western food. Finally, the best was to be able to see the Shinkansen passing by our window. My husband loves watching them.
